Charity exhibition open at Television Centre, White City

Stanhope is hosting Postcards Anon, the annual art exhibition for West London Action for Children (WLAC), in the atrium of 2 Television Centre, White City.

The exhibition, now in its 11th year, showcases a collection of original artworks donated by supporters of the charity, including famous faces like broadcaster Jon Snow, singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and author and former Home Secretary Alan Johnson, as well as members of the public.

The exhibition is open to the public until Friday 12 November.

WLAC offers free and confidential counselling and therapy for young people in the boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea.

Heather Boxer, Chief Executive at WLAC, said: “We are thrilled to be holding this wonderful exhibition at Television Centre, showcasing the incredible talent of artists all over the country, some famous and some not so famous.

“Using a huge range of subject, techniques, styles and media, these original small pictures make a rich and varied collection which you buy because you like it, not knowing who the artist is until you get the picture at the end of the exhibition.”

Artworks are available to purchase for a suggested donation with all proceeds going to WLAC.

Alan Johnson said: “I am delighted to create a picture for this wonderful exhibition for this unique charity supporting families in the part of London where I grew up”.
