Film and TV production site planned for Park Royal

London is set to benefit from a new film and TV production space.

The £20million 45,000 sq ft development is being built at Premier Park in Park Royal for RD Studios, a division of RD Content, a global production company with offices in London, New York, Singapore and Abu Dhabi.

The build will include five sound-proofed stages as well as a screening room, edit and sound suites, wardrobe, hair and makeup facilities, onsite catering, and lighting and camera hire.

The stages will allow for ground-level rigging work and a drive-in stage door for larger constructions.

Bookings have already been made for the site which is scheduled to launch in April 2022.

RD has said the development will be a net-zero carbon refurbishment of an existing warehouse, aimed at being the most sustainable studio in London, with solar power, recycled rain water and electric vehicle charging points.

Ryan Dean, Founder of RD Content, said: “The UK has become the world’s premier destination for film production, but a lack of high-quality sound stages and studio space has the potential to limit the growth of the creative industries at a crucial time.

“I’m delighted to be bringing to the market a truly world class facility that has sustainability at its core, and is driven first and foremost by the needs of content creators. Having addressed the immediate need in London, my aim is to build further RD Studios across the globe, creating the largest network of independent studios in the world.”
