Heathrow prepares to reopen Terminal 4

Heathrow Airport will reopen Terminal 4 to travel for the first time in two years in order to facilitate airport capacity over the summer holiday season.

Terminal 4 will reopen on 14 June with Qatar Airways the first to take off.

The newly opened Elizabeth line, as well as the Piccadilly line and local buses, will travel to Terminal 4 from 14 June, providing easy access for passengers and employees.

The additional terminal will deliver more check-in space and stand capacity as well as access to the airport’s premium facilities. Recent upgrades were made to the toilets, air conditioning and baggage screening.

Heathrow has recruited around 1,000 new security officers and airport staff and is bolstering its Here to Help team, which mobilises senior staff to assist passengers and welcome them back to air travel.
