New B&Q store to open in Harrow town centre later this year

B&Q, the home improvement and DIY retailer, has announced it will be opening a smaller, localised store in Harrow town centre this winter.

The new store will occupy the former Poundland shop.

A spokesperson at B&Q said: “We intent to open a new smaller store in Harrow in the winter.

“The new store will have a wide range of home improvement products while offering customers access to the full B&Q range of more than 40,000 products through home delivery and Click and Collect.

“We look forward to opening our doors and supporting the people of Harrow with all their home improvement needs.”

A spokesperson from Harrow Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID) said: “We are very excited to see a big name store like B&Q investing in the high street. It will be a real boon for the Harrow shopper who needs to pick up a pot of paint in that perfect colour or needs a specific tool to finish their home improvement job.

“We are looking forward to supporting this new venture as B&Q start to open these smaller high street branches serving customers who are not able to get to larger warehouse branches.”
