03 Oct Alperton bus garage redevelopment approved
Telford Homes has been given the green-light for its proposals to redevelop Alperton Bus Garage.
Brent Council has approved Telford’s plans for a mixed-use redevelopment of the site, providing a total of 461 units in three blocks.
The units will be provided in the blocks as follows:
- 306 build-to-rent units, in Blocks A and B
- 98 units at London Affordable Rent levels
- 57 units for shared ownership, in Block C
The three blocks will be linked at the ground and first floors by a single building comprising 2,400 sq m of light industrial floorspace, a 205 sq m unit for community use, a cafe of 64 sq m and cycle storage and bin storage.
Vehicle access and residential car parking will also be provided.
Telford Homes will also contribute to new public infrastructure for the junction of Ealing Road and Bridgewater Road.
The firm says the development would bring to life the streetscape of the area surrounding the old bus garage.
