Brent Council wins £7m to refit family facilities in South Kilburn

Brent Council has announced plans to refit Granville Plus Nursery School and the Granville Family Wellbeing Centre in South Kilburn.

There are also plans to make older buildings on the estate more environmentally friendly and expand the shared workspace at the Granville Centre.

The project will cost £7.75million and is part of wider plans to improve the area, alongside new housing and employment opportunities.

Work is expected to begin in 2022.

Councillor Shama Tatler, Regeneration Lead at Brent Council, said: “The Carlton and Granville centres are at the heart of the South Kilburn community.

“We are thrilled to be revamping and expanding these much-loved community spaces and facilities, whilst creating more opportunities for local people – from more local jobs to training.
