21 Apr Chiswick Park beefs up EV charging
In an effort to encourage drivers to switch to electric vehicles and in the face of increasing demand, Chiswick Park, has installed 12 new electric car charging points located in the campus car park.
The newly installed electric charging points are available for tenants and visitors. It hugely increases the number of EV charging points – there were just two until now, although some tenants have installed points in their own buildings.
The new charging points are 22kw fast chargers offering up to 90 miles based on a one-hour charge. Chiswick Park has partnered with ChargePoint charging stations.
“We believe that we have a major role to play in driving the uptake of electric vehicles and providing charging infrastructure to help improve air quality in London. We are proud to be delivering such a great offering as more of our Guests onsite consider a transition to electric vehicles. We are planning to increase the number of charging points by 2022 as part of our ESG strategy especially our focus around environmental and active travel,” said Matt Coulson, CEO Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work.
Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work has created a new brand identity, Recharge, to cover all electric vehicle offerings on the campus.
In addition, the campus offers 800 secure bike spaces and repair stations. Chiswick Park also provides a wide range of services and equipment for cyclists including shower rooms, lockers and changing facilities in each building, security CCTV equipment and a free one-day bike hire service available for short and long-term hire.
