22 Sep Gravity Media opens new Production Centre
International media production company, Gravity Media, has launched a new production centre at the 17-acre creative and life sciences campus at White City, West London.
The new state-of-the-art Production Centre, housed in the Westworks building on the campus, will be a leading creative and technology media hub, including production, post-production and live studio facilities.
The move represents a major expansion for Gravity Media, which already has global production centres in Chiswick, Manchester, Sydney, Melbourne, and San Francisco.
In a deal with business developers Stanhope and property company Cadillac Fairview, Gravity Media is leasing the 50,000 square foot high-tech facility, which will feature best-in-class technology to support both on premise and distributed remote production workflows.
And in a boost to its overall creative enterprise, it will bring together Gravity Media’s production and content team, with multi-suite spaces, editing suites, and post-technical solutions.
The Westworks building is situated next to BBC Television Centre, which houses a number of ITV live daytime shows, such as Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning, and Loose Women, as well as entertainment shows such as Saturday Night Takeaway and the Jonathan Ross Show.
Gravity Media’s CEO and founder John Newton said opening the new production centre was a ”game-changing launch”.
He added: “This expansion is a hugely exciting moment for the whole global Gravity Media team – it enables us to build a truly future-focused facility. One in which we will be able to nurture our talent as well as ensure we attract the very best in next-generation media, innovation, technology, and engineering experts who we look forward to welcoming to the new facility in White City. All with the aim of providing the most advanced solutions for all our clients across Sports, Film and TV and Live Event formats”.
