Harlesden Neighbourhood plan launches

The Harlesden Neighbourhood Plan has been launched for consultation.

The vision of Harlesden’s future outlines how the Neighbourhood Forum think the town centre can develop and grow over the next fifteen years.

The plan outlines four development sites, including the Harlesden Plaza, alongside aspirations for better housing, transport, open spaces, environment and community facilities.

Cllr Shama Tatler, Brent’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Highways and Planning, said: “It’s great to see the community of Harlesden come together and put forward a vision of how they would like Harlesden to develop over the next 15 years.”

A local referendum later in the year will follow the consultation process. If local people vote to adopt the plan, it will become a statutory planning document.
