22 Dec Harrow Council consulting on new Design Code for borough development

Harrow Council, with funding from the GLA Homebuilding Capacity Fund, has drafted a Design Code for direction on the development small sites in the borough.

To achieve this, Harrow Council is seeking the views and ideas of the public to help shape the draft Design Code, aimed at residents, designers, developers and planning applicants to support in their design of new homes on small plots.

The code will cover Harrow-specific guidance in line with local character and to ensure designs are of a high quality.

The consultation is open to Harrow residents and businesses from 17 December 2021 to 7 February 2022.

Once agreed, the Design Code will be adopted as a supplementary Planning Document to support housing requirements set out in both the Harrow Local Plan and the London Plan.
