04 Feb Hatch End station staff presented with Heart of Gold Award
Employees at volunteers at Hatch End station, Harrow, have been presented with the Heart of Gold Award by the Railway Benefit Fund and sponsors, Amaro.
The team was recognised for their hard work and commitment in transforming the station into a thriving community hub, featuring a book exchange, charity fundraisers, and an award-winning flower display.
The station even has its own allotment where staff grow fresh fruit and vegetables for the local community.
Hatch End’s next project is the Garden of Peace memorial garden for their colleague Phil Palm, who passed away in 2019.
Neha Patel, customer host at Hatch End station, said: “It is a privilege to be a part of a great team and work in a great station. We are proud to receive this award and I am sure we will continue to do great work and do the company, community and station proud in years to come.”
