Hounslow residents looking for a new job or career change are encouraged to register to visit the Transport and Logistics Job Fair being held at the Meadowbank Adult Education & Community Learning Centre in Cranford on 26 January.

Visitors can speak to local employers with live vacancies. A range of friendly local companies will be offering speed interviews on the day for a range of job vacancies including those for drivers and logistics professionals.

All positions on offer will be at the London Living Wage or above.

Employers on the day will include Lampton Community Services, the Heathrow Academy, Abellio Group, Manpower and K-10 Apprenticeships.

Anyone who wants to attend is being advised to register in advance for their preferred time slot, either: 11am-12.15pm or 12.15pm-1.30pm. Free refreshments are also available to all registered attendees.

Councillor Lily Bath, Cabinet Member for Children, Learning & Employment at Hounslow Council, said: “This event is a great opportunity for people across the borough to find a new position in the logistics and transport sectors where you can make an important contribution to the economy of the borough and beyond.

“There are a great range of employers lined up to offer opportunities on the day, all of which will pay the London Living Wage or more. If you are looking for employment or a change of career, this is a great opportunity so please register to attend.”

The event is being run by Work Hounslow, the skills and employment team for the London Borough of Hounslow. The team consists of employment and training advisors, employer engagement officers as well as monitoring and supporting local developers with their employment and skills plans.

Please register via the Eventbrite page where you can also find more details of employers with open positions you can meet on the day.
