Imperial College London is leading on plans for One Portal Way, a residential and commercial development in North Acton.
The hybrid application includes eight new buildings near the HS2 Old Oak station, with the tallest at 55 storeys.
Pilbrow & Partners have designed the scheme on behalf of Imperial College London who have been involved in discussions with the London Borough of Ealing, Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation as well as the Greater London Authority.
The proposal aims to deliver 1,325 new homes as well as offices, shops and community space.
A spokesperson from development managers Frame RE said: “The proposed scheme maximises the site’s potential to knit together other developments, forming a new vibrant place.
“On top of this, the scheme includes mix of coworking space, studio space and purpose-built workspaces.
“The proposals will bring between 1,200-2,000 new jobs to the area, greatly boosting economic activity and spending in North Acton.”
