Inland Homes’ 514-home Hillingdon scheme approved

Inland Homes will soon be beginning work to deliver more than 500 homes in Hillingdon after a judicial review into the decision by The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, to approve plans was quashed.

The plan to build more than a dozen housing blocks in Hillingdon Gardens, on the brownfield Master Brewer site, was given the go-ahead by the Mayor of London more than three years ago.

The scheme will transform the derelict former commercial site into a mixed-use neighbourhood of housing and public spaces.

The request for a judicial review was put forward by Hillingdon Council.

Stephen Wicks, CEO of Inland Homes, said: “The former Master Brewer site is a brownfield site that has been vacant for 11 years and is exactly the type of scheme where we can make a meaningful contribution to housing delivery in a sustainable way.

“We are very pleased that this scheme has cleared the final obstacle to its development. It is a great testament to our legal and planning team that we have been able to overcome the many obstacles that were put in our way and we can now finally get on with the job of delivering much-needed homes for London.”
