21 Sep LAST MILE Conference launched to discuss the industrial and logistics sector in London & South East
The London and South East Manufacturing, Industrial and Logistics (LAST MILE) Conference, in association with Bridge Industrial, will put the sectors’ opportunities in the spotlight at its inaugural event.
Taking place at The Postal Museum, London on 16 November 2021, the full-day conference will bring together developers, occupiers, consultants, transport operators and the public sector, including councils and planning authorities, to discuss how industrial, logistics and manufacturing has changed in London and the South East, what lessons have been learnt and what are going to be the main opportunities – and challenges – moving forward.
Kicking off at 9am the day will be packed with discussion. Speakers and delegates will debate a number of important questions, including:
- How can the industrial and logistics sector meet net zero and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) targets?
- What does the future of the industrial and logistics workplace look like?
- How can the sector change perceptions and improve local support?
- Does London need more ‘maker space’?
- What digital and transport infrastructure will be needed for the sustainable future of the sector?
- How can urban centres become industrial and logistics hubs and support the residential offer surrounding them?
- What economic opportunities can industrial and logistics occupiers bring to an area?
- As planning reforms start to take shape what does this mean for the industrial and logistics sector?
Paul Hanley, Bridge’s London Partner, says: “We are extremely proud to be the first event partner for the LAST MILE Conference, which aligns perfectly with our strategy of acquiring and developing high quality, purpose-built infill industrial assets to serve the last-mile logistics sector. We look forward to a day of discussions and networking in this critical time for last mile logistics growth.”
