Lavazza head for Uxbridge

Lavazza has opened a new UK HQ in Landid and Brockton Capital’s Charter Building in Uxbridge.

The coffee supplier has also added a new Lavazza coffee bar into the 240,000 sq ft building’s light-filled atrium. Charter Building is now 35% let.

Lavazza occupies 8,500 sq ft, with views and a terrace, on the fourth floor (pictured).  Alongside this the Italian manufacturer has opened a Lavazza coffee bar in the building’s atrium, serving roast to tenants, visitors and the public alike. The bar runs in collaboration with The Charter Building’s Caffé Kix, which opened last year and sits on the building’s street front offering food and coffee.

Also in the building, tech firm TraceLink, which provides a digital platform for pharmaceutical businesses to track and trace products throughout their supply chain, has increased the size of its available workspace from 8,500 sq ft to an additional 6,000 sq ft on the ground floor of The Charter Building.

Tech startup Jazz Networks, which utilises Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to provide data security solutions, is also increasing its space in the building to 7,500 sq ft. The Uxbridge-based business initially took 4,500 sq ft in the building when it moved into The Charter Building in 2017.

Chris Hiatt, director at Landid, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Lavazza to The Charter Building. Adding the UK headquarters to the building’s growing business community, along with the Lavazza coffee bar, will create even more of a buzz in the building and is a real boost for Uxbridge town centre. This is a thriving place to do business and we look forward to more local, national and international businesses making Uxbridge their home.”
