Plans for new Hillingdon hospital revealed

Plans for a new state-of-the-art hospital in Hillingdon have been revealed.

A planning application was submitted to Hillingdon Council earlier this week, showing a new and improved hospital built next to the current one.

The existing hospital will remain open during construction.

The upgrades will include a 40% expansion in floor space, improved technology, a new midwife unit, more single rooms, and CT and MRI scanners.

Jason See, head of the redevelopment project and deputy CEO of the Hillingdon NHS Foundation Trust, said the new hospital presents a “once in a lifetime opportunity to build a state-of-the-art facility for the people of Hillingdon and beyond.”
