Regal London to enter student accommodation sector with Wembley plans

Regal London has revealed plans for 340 affordable and private student rooms in Wembley, its first entry into the purpose built student accommodation (PBSA) sector.

The developers say the development “signals their intent for greater presence in the PBSA sector”, with more plans likely to follow.

The proposed development at 390-406 High Road will comprise 35% affordable rooms, the re-provision of flexible town centre outlets and a landscaped exterior.

Subject to support from local planning officers, Regal is looking to submit a formal planning application later in the summer, with a view to beginning works on the site in early 2023. If approved, it’s hoped the first students will move in around September 2025.

Paul Eden, co-founder of Regal London, said: “We’re looking forward to bringing new life to this part of Wembley with our proposals for a vibrant, new home for students in close proximity to the academic centres of excellence across London.

“Our previous experiences working with Brent played a significant part in our decision making to keep building our presence in the area, as the Council’s ‘can-do’ attitude and proactive approach to problem solving is a breath of fresh air.

“This is an important and exciting next step in Regal London’s growth, diversifying into a new sector with our trademark quality and design excellence.”
