St Modwen acquires Westlands Industrial Estate in West London for £80m

St Modwen has expanded its London logistics portfolio with the £80million acquisition of Westlands Industrial Estate in Hayes.

The site is comprised of 165,500 sq ft of high-quality warehouse space and is fully let to leading global businesses, including Nippon Express, who occupy a 125,000 sq ft unit.

Aerospace equipment manufacturer Attewell Limited occupies 40,500 sq ft across two units.

Westlands is close to the M25, M4 and M40, and just three miles from Heathrow Airport.

Polly Troughton, managing director at St Modwen Logistics, said: “Hayes is one of London’s most competitive industrial submarkets and this is a rare opportunity to acquire prime warehouse space in a key last mile location.

“This transaction also aligns with our long-term strategy to own and manage space that supports our customers’ ambitions for growth.

“Following a number of new appointments to our transactions team, we will be ramping up the acquisition of standing assets across the UK, alongside our development programme.”
